White Bread

Our crusty white bread is made with strong White Flour milled in the traditional way from high quality Canadian and English wheat. We use flour from both Marriage’s Flour Millers in Chelmsford, an independent master millers established in 1824 and Wrights Mill in Enfield, an independent family miller since 1867.

  • Bloomer (800g & 400g)

    One of our signature products. A traditional hand-moulded crusty loaf, baked on the oven bottlom characterised by diagonal cuts across the top. Either plain or topped with poppy seeds.

  • Coburg (800g & 400g)

    A large round crusty loaf, either plain or with poppy seeds, with two slashes on the top. Queen Victoria's consort, Prince Albert, was responsible for the naming of the Coburg Loaf - he came from Saxe-Coburg and the loaf was introduced shortly after his marriage to Victoria in 1840.

  • Farmhouse (800g & 400g)

    A traditional white tin loaf split down the centre and dusted with flour.

  • Sandwich (800g)

    A classic, flat-topped loaf perfect for slicing and sandwich-making. Its flat top is created by putting a lid on the tin during baking to stop the bread rising.

  • Tiger (800g & 400g)

    A white bloomer-style loaf with the addition of a delicious crusty coating for extra bite.

White Rolls

We make the following rolls:
Crusty White Rolls; Sesame Rolls; Soft Baps – regular and jumbo; Long finger Rolls - regular and jumbo; Point Rolls - plain, sesame and poppy seeds; Baguettes; Ciabatta Rolls and Bridge Rolls.

Brown & Malted Bread

  • Cotswold Crunch (800g & 400g)

    A malted brown bread made with a blend of strong white and wholemeal flours, Malted wheat flakes, dark malt flour and some rye flour. Made with award-winning flour from Matthews Mill in Shipton-under-Wychwood in Oxfordshire. The flour won a Great Taste Award in 2010. Matthews is an independent family milling company established over 80 years ago.

  • Oatbran (800g & 400g)

    A blend of white flour with wheat bran, oat bran, malted kibbled oats, pinhead oats and oatmeal. The top is rolled in oats before baking. Made with flour from Wrights Mill in Enfield, an independent family miller since 1867. Oatbran is a bread with a high fibre content giving excellent flavour and texture with no "bits", a very nutritious bread ideal for all the family.

  • Wholemeal (800g & 400g)

    Contains 100% of the wheat grain, i.e. the germ, bran and endosperm with nothing added and nothing taken away. Made with flour from FWP Matthews Mill in Shipton-under-Wychwood in Oxfordshire. Matthews is an independent family milling company which dates back to the 1860s.

Speciality Bread

  • 100% Rye & Sunflower Seed Sourdough

    Sunflower seeds throughout bring a delicious addition to this aromatic 100% rye loaf (Fridays & Saturdays only).


  • Campagrain

    5 flours combined with flax, sesame and sunflower seeds make this a deliciously crusty, healthy loaf.

  • Cranberry & Walnut Festive Sourdough

    Our festive speciality sourdough - made from French white flour with cranberries and walnuts (Saturdays in November and December only).

  • Focaccia

    An authentic Italian bread made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and flavoured with sun-dried
    tomatoes, garlic and rosemary.

  • Malted Sourdough

    Made from malted and wholemeal flours - deliciously dark and tasty.

  • Multiseed

    Made with a blend of white four and wholemeal flour. It contains a mixture of 5 seeds (Pumpkin, Sunflower, Linseed, Poppy and Sesame). A low GI bread high in dietary fibre, vitamins, protein, omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids and minerals such as phosphorous and calcium. It is decorated with a mixture of the 5 seed mix.

  • Multiseed Sourdough

    Our fantastic new sourdough made from a blend of white, wholemeal and Cotswold flours with pumpkin, sunflower, linseed, poppy and sesame seeds.

  • Olive Sourdough

    Our Saturday speciality sourdough - perfect for a long lunch with friends.  Made from French white flour with a mix of both green and black olives running throughout. Also available as an Olive Sourdough Stick.

  • Pumpkin Seed Rye

    Made to our own unique recipe, this immensely popular bread is a mixture of rye, cotswold, wholemeal and white flours with added Pumpkin seeds inside and out. Pumpkin seeds are rich in protein, iron and high in zinc, phosphorous, potassium and omega-3 essential fatty acids.

  • Sourdough

    Made with a sourdough starter made with natural airborne yeast rather than added yeast. It is this that gives sourdough bread its distinctive tangy taste. Also available as a Sourdough Stick.

  • Spelt & Honey

    A flavoursome bread made with Spelt flour. Spelt is an old fashioned wheat variety which is lower in gluten than modern wheat and high in dietary fibre making it easier to digest and has a low GI. Some people with wheat intolerance are better able to tolerate spelt than modern wheat.

  • Tiger Bread

    Our signature white bloomer with the addition of a delicious crusty coating for extra bite.

  • Gingerbread Man

    An all-time favourite made with flour, syrup, dark brown sugar, eggs and ginger. In the 16th century Queen Elizabeth I had gingerbread figures made to look like important guests.

  • Macaroon Biscuit

    A very tasty almond biscuit finished with a split almond.

  • Mince Pie

    A handmade and hand filled pie with a shortcrust pastry and a luxury mincemeat filling (sultanas, raisins, currants, apple, candied mixed peel and mixed spice).

    Delicious American-style muffins in a variety of flavours such as chocolate chip, blueberry, raspberry, white and dark chocolate, banoffi.

We make seasonal cakes throughout the year for all occasions. Our Luxury Hot Cross Buns and Mince Pies are particularly good and customers travel for miles to buy them. Our range of seasonal cakes includes the following:
