Retail Relief Assistant
Summary of Role
Full time and zero hours available.
The Retail Relief delivers outstanding customer service, supports sales growth, and maintains operational standards across multiple sites. They assist with stock control, fulfilment of digital orders, and ensure strict adherence to operational procedures, food safety, and health & safety standards. The role requires flexibility, organisation, and the ability to plan travel efficiently between locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, efficient service to all customers, promoting products to drive sales
- Maintain stock levels, assist with replenishment, and pick products accurately for digital fulfilment
- Ensure timely fulfilment and delivery of online/click & collect orders in line with SLAs
- Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising to enhance the customer experience
- Follow operational procedures, food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
- Support the team with daily operational tasks, including stock rotation and waste management, handle cash, banking, and shift closing and opening procedures accurately
- Plan and organise daily travel to different stores efficiently to ensure timely arrival and coverage
- Adapt quickly to different store environments and team structures while maintaining consistent standards
Skills Required
- Customer-focused with a strong sales and service mindset
- Knowledge of stock control procedures and digital order fulfilment SLAs
- Understanding of operational procedures, food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Teamwork, communication, and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and pride in store presentation
